Job Description

Salary:    $25.00 per hour (full-time position, 40 hours per week)

Job Description:

• Supervise and plan the work engaged in shipping and receiving, inventory of materials.
• Track items and keep inventory of construction materials and supplies to ensure appropriate stock of products are on hand at all times.
• Oversee the flow of work and material including the preparation of schedules, etc.
• Co-ordinate the appropriate processing of materials requisition applicable to the inventory maintained.
• Requisition materials and supplies as required.
• Provide accurate inventory data to general manager.
• Have a solid grasp and knowledge of proper storage methods and procedures.
• Handle training as required and ensure storage safety procedures are followed.
• Oversee the unloading of trucks or vans from loading dock.
• Document all shipments received and keep account of same.
• Responsible for organizing and maintaining the warehouse clean and safe at all times.
• Resolve warehouse work related issues and co-ordinate with the general manager.
• Operate computer systems to manage inventory and ensure smooth operation and arrange for maintenance as required.
• Abide by all health and safety programs and regulations. Report any observed or potential hazards.

Job Requirements:

• Some experience in warehouse environment and/or production
• Post-secondary education
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
