Job Description

Cheemsbro Custom Homes Ltd requires two plasterers at Calgary AB in Full-time permanent role

Work Location- 3207-4250 109 Ave NE Calgary, AB T3N 1Z3

Wages- 27.00 to 29.50 hourly (To be negotiated) / 32 to 40 hours per Week

Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
  • Clean and prepare surfaces
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
  • Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
