Location: Brampton, ON, L6W 3J1

Salary: $29.25 per hour for 35 hours per week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment 

Job Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading construction materials, and moving them to work areas
• Installing and removing concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks and barricades at construction sites
• Mixing, pouring and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Assisting heavy equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment
• Signaling heavy equipment operators to guide them in moving equipment
• Help tradespersons, such as carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers and glaziers
• Remove rubble and waste at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
• Oil and grease hoists and similar equipment
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites
• Perform other activities at construction sites as directed 

Eligibility Requirements: 

• A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
• Prior experience of 1 to 2 years is important.
• Need good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle tools.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and the proper use of tools and equipment is crucial to prevent accidents and injuries on the job.
• Clear English communication is important when working with clients, contractors, and other team members to understand project requirements and provide updates.
• Be healthy, strong, and fit.
