Job Title : Operations manager - trade, broadcasting and other services.

Location : 701 West Georgia Street suite 1500Vancouver, BCV7Y 1C6

Salary: $41.00 per Hour 

Duration: Permanent employment, full time.

Start date and working hours : Starts as soon as possible. 10:00 to 18:00

Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Allocate Material, Human, and Financial Resources

    Material Resources: Ensure the availability of necessary IT equipment, software, and tools.
    Human Resources:   Hire and train IT staff to meet operational needs.
    Financial Resources: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of funds.

  • Authorize and Organize the Establishment of Major Departments

    Department Structuring: Define and establish key IT departments and senior roles.
    Recruitment: Hire senior IT staff and ensure they are integrated into the organization effectively.

  • Coordinate the Work of Regions, Divisions, or Departments

    Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration between IT and other departments.
    Regional Support: Set up regional IT support teams to ensure consistent service across locations.

  • Establish Objectives and Approve Policies and Programs

    Strategic Objectives: Set IT goals aligned with the organization’s overall objectives.
    Policy Development:  Formulate and approve IT policies and programs to support strategic initiatives.

  • Represent the Organization in Negotiations or Other Official Functions

    Vendor Negotiations: Lead or delegate negotiations with IT vendors and service providers.
    Official Representation: Represent the organization at industry events and official functions.

  • Select Middle Managers and Delegate Authority

    Talent Acquisition: Recruit and select middle managers and senior IT staff.
    Delegation: Delegate authority to these leaders and ensure they have the resources needed.

  • Establish Financial and Administrative Controls; Approve HR Planning

    Financial Controls: Implement controls to monitor IT spending and ensure budget adherence.
    Administrative Controls:  Optimize administrative processes for efficiency and compliance.
    HR Planning: Approve strategic human resources plans for the IT department, including workforce and succession planning.
