Job Description

We are seeking a Marketing Specialist for a full-time, permanent position of 30 hours per week. This role offers a salary range of CAD $32.50 to CAD $35.50 per hour, negotiable based on experience, with overtime pay at a rate of 1.5 times for hours worked beyond the 44th hour. Our office is located in Markham, ON. Fluency in English is required. This position is NOT available for telecommuting/remote work.

The main responsibilities for this position include:

• Develop communication strategies
• Develop policies
• Evaluate communication strategies and programs
• Implement communication strategies and programs
• Prepare written material such as reports, briefs, website content
• Publicize activities, workshops, meetings and other events for fundraising or information purposes
• Train staff
• Conduct surveys and analyze data on the buying habits and preferences of wholesale and retail consumers
• Advise clients on advertising or sales promotion strategies
• Assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters and other material
• Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys
• Gather, research and prepare communications material
• Initiate and maintain contact with the media
• Conduct analytical marketing studies
• Conduct social or economic surveys on local, regional, or international areas to assess development of potential and future trends
• Design market research questionnaires
• Develop portfolio of marketing materials
• Design, conduct and analyze quantitative and qualitative research projects
• Conduct online marketing, E-commerce and Website promotions
• Develop marketing strategies
• Maintain and manage digital database
• Write and edit press releases, newsletter and communications materials

You must have the following qualifications:

1) Languages: English

2) Education: College/CEGEP

3) Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

4) Area of specialization: Communications and digital media
