1 x permanent full-time Food Service Supervisor wanted for a busy “1609673 Alberta Ltd. o/a Golden Bell Sub and Grill Vietnamese Restaurant” located at Unit #101 - 1865 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 1Z8.  The wage rate will be $18.00 per hour and work at least 30 to 44 hours per week. Benefit includes 4% vacation pay.

JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise staffs in the daily operation of a Vietnamese restaurant.
• Responds to customers’ special requests in a friendly manner with an appropriate sense of urgency.
• Responsible for shift cash procedures.
• Maintain records of stocks, weekly sales reports and wastage.
• Manage and estimate the restaurant’s inventory and replenish supplies by ordering from our suppliers as often as necessary.
• Deal with customers’ complaints and take prompt action to resolve any issues.
• Ensure that the food and service meet good quality standards.
• Ensure that food safety handling procedure is followed.
• Lead and assist staff in providing outstanding customer service experience.
• Train, assign, and coach staff with their job duties and responsibilities especially newly hired employees.

Skills/Personal Suitability Requirements: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing, Computer use. Able and Willing to work weekends and overtime.

Education: Completion of secondary school is required

Language: English

Work experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience directly related to any food service is required.
