Job Description

Job Title: Early childhood educator assistant (NOC 42202)

Employer: Aristokids Center ltd

Location: 46077 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack, British Columbia V2P 2V1

Salary: $20.50 / hour

Vacancies: 2

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 40 hours/week

Start date: As soon as possible

Employment conditions: Day, Early Morning, Morning

Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: one or more years of experience

Work setting: Child care centre

Specific Skills: Actively involve children in various activities, including storytelling, teaching songs, and crafting, to stimulate learning and creativity, Prepare nutritious snacks for children and ensure the organization of rooms or furniture during lunch and rest periods, maintaining a comfortable and safe environment, Assist children in acquiring essential life skills, such as promoting proper eating habits, facilitating dressing routines, and toilet training, Take responsibility for the maintenance of daycare equipment, and contribute to general housekeeping and cooking tasks to uphold a clean and orderly environment, Participate in staff meetings to discuss the developmental progress and challenges faced by children, providing insights and observations, Assess the ability, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members when required, Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, Support early childhood educators or supervisors by assisting in maintaining comprehensive and accurate records of children’s activities and progress, following the protocols established in the Canadian childcare system.
