Location: Brampton, ON L6S 0E9

Salary: $20.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

Number of vacancies: 2 

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage kitchen operations
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Supervise kitchen staff, Inspect work stations and food service areas.
• Monitor and order kitchen supplies and equipment
• Ensure smooth running of the kitchen and food service areas
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes.

Eligibility Requirements:

• A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
• Prior experience of 1 to 2 years in a kitchen or a similar cooking role.
• One must have a good understanding of various cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment operations.
• Knowledge and adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation practices are essential to ensure the safety and quality of the food prepared.
• The job can be physically demanding, requiring long hours of standing, lifting heavy pots, and working in a hot kitchen environment.
• Effective communication is necessary to collaborate with the kitchen team and communicate with servers or managers.

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
