Job Description

 

Location:?1744 Midland Ave, Scarborough, ON M1P3C2(onsite) 

Salary: $62,400 per year  

Full-time/30 hours per week

We are known for providing quality, efficiency, and modernity through flawless retail and commercial construction services, ensuring that our clients maintain their position as the industry standard. We are looking for a Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team to help us provide the best possible service to our clients.  

Duties:  

  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of construction workers engaged in building repair and maintenance tasks, such as tile setting, plastering, drywall installation, and painting, as well as workers responsible for installing and servicing prefabricated products in commercial properties. 

  • Schedule maintenance requests, identify, and promptly resolve issues. 

  • Review estimates for repairs and maintenance activities on commercial buildings, finding cost-effective solutions. 

  • Organize methods to meet work schedules, supervise, and coordinate work activities with subcontractors. 

  • Prepare work progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients. 

  • Resolve work-related problems and recommend measures to improve productivity. 

  • Ensure proper quality standards for maintenance work and verify that subcontractors deliver services as agreed. 

  • Recommend personnel actions such as hiring new subcontractors. 

  • Review and evaluate building maintenance operations to ensure work deadlines are met and the client satisfied. 

Requirements:  

  • College / Technical school (1-2 years)

  • 2-4 years of current, relevant, industry specific experience 
    - Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications; 
    - Previous experience preparing and managing construction documents;  
    - Knowledge of the construction process and timelines of projects. 
    - Strong interpersonal and time management skills; 
    - Ability to multi-task, work independently, confident, professional and dependable; 
    - Excellent communication skills;  
    - Fast learner and willing to take on new challenges;  
    - Detail oriented; 
    - Organized and efficient;
