Job Description

 

Location: Brampton, ON L6X 1R2

Salary: $56.25 hourly / 30 hours per Week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment 

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement long-term strategies to align construction projects with business objectives, ensuring growth, profitability, and competitive advantage in the construction industry.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, deadlines, and budget constraints while addressing any issues promptly.
  • Lead and manage project managers, site supervisors, and staff, cultivating a positive work environment to boost morale, performance, and productivity across construction projects.
  • Create and manage budgets for construction projects and company operations, monitor financial performance, and make strategic adjustments to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, addressing needs and concerns, and ensuring high satisfaction throughout projects.
  • Generate and present reports on project progress, financial status, and operational performance to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices, addressing any compliance issues and maintaining necessary documentation.
  • Oversee the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, ensuring efficient use and timely availability to meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Identify potential risks and create strategies to address them, evaluating project challenges and implementing solutions to prevent delays and cost overruns.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors, negotiate contracts, and ensure they meet performance and quality standards to support successful project completion.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Significant experience of five years or more in the construction industry is preferred. 
  • Strong leadership abilities to manage project managers, site supervisors, and staff, with a focus on team development, motivation, and performance enhancement.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management principles, including planning, execution, and completion, with experience using project management software and tools is preferred.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost management, with the ability to oversee project finances and ensure profitability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, stakeholders, and team members, and for producing clear project reports and documentation.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, address their needs, and ensure high levels of satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Skills in managing and allocating resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient project execution and timely completion.
