• Salary: 35.00 hourly / 40 hours per Week
• Terms of employment: Permanent employment. Full time
• Day, Early Morning, Evening, Flexible Hours, Morning, Night, On Call, Overtime, Shift, Weekend
• Starts as soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: Will train

On the road:  Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
• Mountain driving expertise
• Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 

• AZ class license
• Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

Experience and specialization

Documentation knowledge

• Bill of lading
• Driver logbook
• Maintenance and repair reports
• Trans-border documentation

Type of trucking and equipment

• Tractor-trailer   

Communication systems experience

• Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Additional information

• Drive manual transmission vehicle, Valid driver's licence, Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel internationally, Willing to travel overnight
