Certified Dental Assistant (NOC 33100)

Parkside Dental is a family dental clinic in downtown Squamish. We provide treatment including general dentistry, Invisalign, implant surgery and more.

Job Details:

-          Location: Squamish BC

-          Salary: $37.00 hourly/ 30 to 35 hours per week

Overview:

-          Language – English

-          Education - College, or other program in dental assistant or completion of secondary school with on job training or equivalent experience

-          Experience- 1 year to less than 2 years

On site

-           Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Prepare patients for dental examinations and assist dentist
• Prepare dental instruments, fillings, compounds, various dental materials and sterilize materials
• Maintain and order supplies
• Educate patients concerning oral hygiene
• Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant
• Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Perform intra-oral duties
• Take and develop X-rays
• Record dental procedures performed on patients
• Perform pulp vitality testing as well as periodontal screening and recording
