Upholstery Cutting and Sewing Foreman/Woman

Location: 1255 Lorimar Drive, Mississauga, ON, L5S 1R2
Salary: $29.81 to $34.50 hourly (to be negotiated)
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities

• Oversee the cutting and sewing processes to ensure high-quality upholstery production.
• Manage and train a team of upholsterers and sewers on best practices and techniques.
• Review production schedules to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality and consistency.
• Coordinate with designers and clients to understand specific upholstery requirements.
• Maintain inventory of fabrics, tools, and supplies necessary for production.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance within the workspace.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide solutions to improve efficiency.
• Conduct regular maintenance on sewing machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Prepare reports on production metrics and team performance for management review.
