GMC Drywall strives to deliver high-quality, reliable construction services to clients with excellent customer satisfaction. Currently, we are seeking 2 full-time “Drywall Installers” who can join our growing team.

Position Details

Position: Drywall Installer

Salary: $37.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time; Permanent

Number of Positions: 2

Expected start date: As soon as possible.

Work locations: Various locations in Surrey (BC) and other areas of Lower Mainland (BC) as per the company’s contracts with its clients.

Job Duties

• Measure cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
• Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs.
• Coordinate work procedures for drywall installation and removal.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound.
• Smooth out the excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
• Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• Follow all safety procedures on work site.

Position Requirements

• Completion of Secondary school
• Completion of a 3–4-year apprenticeship program in a relevant trade or a Minimum of 3 years of experience in the trade is required.
• Ability to communicate in English
