Position Details

Position: Drywall Installer
Company: 777 Construction Ltd. 
Company Location: 6885, 123A Street, Surrey, BC, V3W 0X4

Number of positions: 4
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time 
Salary: $36.60 per hour
Start date: As soon as possible 
Work locations: Various Locations in Surrey (BC) & other areas in Lower Mainland (BC) as per the company’s work contracts with its clients.

Job Duties

• Measure cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
• Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs.
• Coordinate work procedures for drywall installation and removal.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound.
• Smooth out the excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
• Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.

Job Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of a 3-4 years apprenticeship program in a relevant trade or a Minimum of 3 years of experience in the trade is required.
• Ability to communicate in English

• Financial assistance for relocation from other provinces or regions will be provided for up to $1200.00 for qualified candidates.
