Job Description

Location: Georgetown, ON L7G 4A8

Salary: $20.00 hourly / 40 hours per Week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily food service operations, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance.
  • Prepare financial reports, including budgets and expense tracking, for management review.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely delivery of food products.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial health regulations and food safety protocols.
  • Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Develop and implement menus, considering dietary restrictions and customer preferences.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including chefs and servers, for optimal performance.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the food service industry is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of kitchen and service staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
  • Proficiency in handling customer inquiries, complaints, and ensuring a high-quality dining experience.
  • Capability to address and resolve operational challenges and staff issues efficiently.
  • Understanding of provincial health regulations and food safety laws.
  • Skills to efficiently manage staff schedules and operational tasks.
