Permanent Position: Taxi Driver

Number of Positions: 1

Wage Rate: $22.40 per hour for 35-40 hours per week.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Morning, Day, Evening, Shift, Weekend, Night, Early Morning, Flexible Hours.

Anticipated start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: 6032 Montgomery Way Nanaimo, British Columbia V9V 1V2

Job Duties:

• Clean and make minor repairs to vehicle
• Pick up passengers and drive them to destinations
• Assist passengers with luggage and in boarding vehicles
• Take vehicle for servicing
• Collect fare
• Assist clients/guests with special needs
• Record transactions
• Provide basic tourist information
• Attend to complaints or difficult passengers

Requirements:

Minimum Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Credentials

Class 4/4F/F/4A-B-C Licence (ambulances, emergency vehicles and buses with fewer than 24 passengers)

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Hand-eye Co-Ordination and Sitting

Fluent in English
