Job description

Job title:  Bookkeeper (NOC 12200)

Full-time permanent. 

Work hours: Monday-Friday, 30 hours/week

Wage: $33.50/hour

Work Location: 27 Airport Heights Dr, St. John's, NL A1A 4W8

Language: English

Vacation: 2 weeks of paid vacation per annum or remuneration of 4% of gross salary

Job responsibility

1. Keep all the transactions and financial records, while managing various balances.

2. Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, for example accounts payable.

3. Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, T4 and all the expenses.

4. Prepare trial balances and financial statements.

5. Complete tax remittance forms and other government documents.

6. Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as needed.

Employment requirements

1. Completion of secondary school is required.

2. A college diploma in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field or at least 1 year’ experience as a bookkeeper or similar role is required.

3. Experienced in computers like MS office.

4. Detail-oriented, high accuracy.
