Lady W Senior Care is seeking one compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to join our dedicated home care team in Ontario. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential personal and home-support services to clients in their residences, helping them maintain comfort, safety, and quality of life during periods of illness, recovery, or reduced mobility.

 

Position:  Home Support Worker

Wage: C$ 22.50 hourly

Working Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Job duties:  

  • Provide care and companionship to clients during periods of incapacity, convalescence, or family disruption.
  • Assist with personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, turning, lifting, and positioning clients.
  • Serve meals, assist with feeding, and support menu selection.
  • Observe clients’ physical and emotional conditions, record changes, and report concerns to the home care supervisor or nurse.
  • Take and document vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse; track fluid intake and output.
  • Carry out light housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishwashing, making beds, and maintaining a clean living environment.
  • Assist clients with exercise routines, accompany them on walks, and support recreational or social activities.
  • Provide basic first aid within the scope of training in emergency situations.

 

Requirements:  

  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
  • Ability to work under pressure with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Ability to focus attention on clients, remaining calm and courteous at all times
