Job Description

Duties:

• Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.)
• Assign sales workers to duties
• Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
• Authorize payments by cheque
• Order merchandise
• Authorize return of merchandise
• Establish work schedules
• Sell merchandise
• Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
• Organize and maintain inventory
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers

Additional Duties: 

• Ensure the visual standards and image of the store are maintained, such as store displays, signage and cleanliness
• May perform key holding and managerial duties if required, such as opening and closing the store, managing escalated complaints, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries
• Coordinate closely with the auto service team to confirm parts compatibility, delivery timing, and repair requirements.
• Train sales staff on parts catalog systems, vehicle-fitment identification, and OEM/aftermarket product knowledge.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of automotive parts and hazardous materials as per safety guidelines.
• Maintain strong relationships with retail, wholesale, commercial clients, vendors, and internal departments.
