Food Service Supervisor – Garth Pizza and Wings Inc.
Location: Hamilton, ON, L9C 2X3
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $36.05/hour, 65 hours per bi-weekly pay period

Job Overview:
Garth Pizza and Wings Inc. is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to join our team at our busy pizza restaurant in Hamilton. The successful candidate will oversee kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring smooth operations, high-quality food preparation, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate activities of staff, including cooks, kitchen helpers, and food service attendants

• Establish work schedules and ensure tasks are completed efficiently

• Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures

• Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain accurate inventory records

• Monitor food preparation and service to meet quality control standards

• Address customer concerns or complaints professionally

• Maintain records of stock, sales, repairs, and wastage

• Assist with food preparation, including making pizzas when needed

Supervision:

• 3–4 staff members including cooks, food service attendants, and kitchen helpers

Qualifications:

• Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma (3 months to less than 1 year)

• Experience: Will train; prior experience in food service, especially in a busy pizza restaurant, is an asset 

• Languages: English 

Work Environment:

• On-site work in a fast-paced restaurant environment

• Exposure to noise, odors, and heat

• Physically demanding: combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods

• Must work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
