Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Fabrication and welding in steel and aluminum
• Operate brake, shear, and other metal shaping and bending equipment
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
• Utilize hand tools and machinery, including press brake machines and calipers, to fabricate metal parts. 
• Perform welding tasks using various techniques to assemble components accurately.
• Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to specifications and safety standards. 
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
• Ability to operate rigging equipment safely when moving heavy materials or components.
• Read and follow drawings and blueprints to set up, tack, and weld
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. 
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products. 
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.

Skills Requirement

• Completion of secondary school is required
• At least 1 year of experience in welding required 
• Previous truck equipment and body installation experience an asset
• Bachelor’s Degree, Trade Certification or any Vocational Program related to Welding is an asset
