Upholstery-cutting and sewing foreman/woman

• Location: 1255 Lorimar Drive, Mississauga, ON L5S 1R2, Canada.
• Workplace information: On site (Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
• Salary: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour (To be negotiated)
• Total work hours: 30 to 40 hours per Week
• Terms of employment: Permanent employment/Full time
• Employment conditions: Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning, On Call, Overtime, To be determined, Weekend
• Start Date: Starts as soon as possible

• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities

• Supervise/Oversee the cutting and sewing processes to ensure high-quality upholstery production.
• Manage and train a team of upholsterers and sewers on best practices and techniques.
• Review production schedules to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality and consistency.
• Coordinate with designers and clients to understand specific upholstery requirements.
• Maintain inventory of fabrics, tools, and supplies necessary for production.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance within the workspace.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide solutions to improve efficiency.
• Conduct regular maintenance on sewing machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Prepare reports on production metrics and team performance for management review.
