Job title: Business Systems Specialist (NOC Code-21221)

Wage: $44 per hour

Reporting to: Director of Canada Operations

Job objectives:

We are looking for a talented Business System Specialist with 2+ years of experience in IT industry. You will be responsible to perform detailed system tests prepare reports and build new system architectures.  You will also be required to identify the strategic objectives of a company and translate these objectives into achievable tasks for IT department. You should have advanced documentation skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent system integration skills.

Specific duties and responsibilities:

• Confer with clients to identify requirements
• Document technical requirements to ensure that products, processes and solutions meet business requirements
• Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to support system implementation
• Design, develop and implement information systems business solutions
• Provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management and service delivery
• Develop policies, procedures and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches
• Develop and implement policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle
• Conduct reviews to assess quality assurance practices, software products and information systems
• Resolve conflict situations
• Usability testing
• Operate automatic or other testing equipment to ensure product quality
• Execute and document results of software application tests and information and telecommunication systems tests

Education and qualifications / Skills and competencies:

• 2+ years of overall work experience as Business System Specialist.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other discipline.
• Well versed with SDLC, Agile, CD&CI methodologies.

• Experience with JIRA, MS Office, MS Outlook and Scrum.
• Experience in using configuration management or version control tools like GIT.
