Meat Butcher - Wholesale

This position is open at NMK Foods Inc., located at 5757 Kennedy Road, Units 7-8, Mississauga, Ontario L4Z 0C5.

The position is responsible for the preparation, cuttting, grinding and packaging of various meats.

The job duties prioritize delivering high-quality service to employees, customers and suppliers.

The candidate is required to work approximately 40-50 hours per week.

The qualified candidate must be able to communicate in the English language.

Main responsibilities include:  Cleans meats and poultry to prepare for processing and cutting; Cuts, trims and prepares standard cuts of meat and poultry; Wraps and packages prepared meats and poultry; Removes bones from meat and cuts carcasses; Grinds and slices meat using powered grinders and slicing machines; Prepare special displays of meat and poultry or special orders; Shape, cale and tie roasts, other meats and poulty; Manages inventory, keeps records of product pick-ups and deliveries and ensures food storage conditions are adequate; May be required at times to train and/or supervise junior butchers and or meat cutters; and Follows CFIA guidelines and regulations.

Other requirements:

• Standing for extended periods of time
• Handling heavy loads and using heavy duty machinery
• Cleaning machinery
• At least one year of experience in a meat butchering job

• Salary starting at $22 per hour
