Job Description

Quality Garden & Pet Holding Ltd of 325 Pratt Rd, Gibsons, BC V0N 1V4, requires a permanent, full-time Retail sales supervisor.

Salary range $23.00 - $24.00p/h.

The successful applicant will be required to:

- Supervise and coordinate sales staff and cashiers

- Assign sales workers to duties and prepare work schedules

- Authorize payments and the return of merchandise

- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages

- Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise

- Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters

- Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff and monitor and report on performance

- Ensure the visual standards and image of the store are maintained, such as store displays, signage and cleanliness

- Perform the same duties as workers supervised

- Perform key holding and managerial duties if required, such as opening and closing the store, managing escalated complaints, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries

Applicants must speak English fluently.

Applicants must have:

- Completion of secondary school

- Previous retail sales experience as a retail salesperson and some supervisory experience

Requirements

- Available to work a 5-day work week, including at least one weekend day

- Able to lift 20kg and repetitive lifting movements while merchandising

- Able to walk and stand while working in the store for up to 8 hours (except breaks)
