Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Specialization/experience (business sales and services)
Sales, Buying, Merchandise needs analysis, Product selection, Negotiation, Distribution, Pricing
Work setting: Wholesale establishment/store

Personal suitability: Accurate, Client-focused, judgmental, organized, and team player.

Supervision: 3-4 people

Work conditions and physical capabilities:
Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail

Main Duties:
Arrange product according to planogram, Establish and maintain contact with suppliers, Maintain
adequate stock levels, Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements
with suppliers, Oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets, Review requirements of
establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase, Select and purchase
merchandise for resale, Supervise the work of other buyers
