Job Description

Our family in Markham, Ontario is looking for a Home Support Worker for a female senior.

• Salary: $20.00 per hour
• Hours: 35 hours per week
• Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent free
• Work Location: 47 Emery Hill Blvd, Markham, ON L6C 2T6;
• Must work in employer's/client's home.

Job Duties:

1. Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
2. Offer companionship and emotional support to senior.
3. Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk.
4. Plan and prepare meals tailored to the senior' needs and preferences.
5. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
6. Maintain clear and consistent communication with family members and supervisors about the senior's health and well-being.
7. Provide first-aid or CPR when necessary to ensure the senior's safety.
8. Shop for food and household supplies.

Requirements:

1. Completion of Secondary School (High School) is required.
2. Previous experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset.
3. First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate would be an asset.
4. Must be patient, friendly, reliable, organized with excellent interpersonal skills.
5. Must be able to speak and understand English.
