Job Description

New Glenwood Medical Clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Physician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families, focusing on health promotion, chronic disease management, and preventative care.


Job Duties:

  • Diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to patients' individual needs.
  • Conduct physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Administer immunizations and offer routine preventative care.
  • Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers as required.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in clinic-wide initiatives to improve patient care and service delivery.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.

Licensing and Certification:

  • Must hold a license to practice medicine in Canada.
  • Eligible for or holding licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).

Residency Requirements:

  • Applicants must currently reside in Canada and hold Canadian Permanent Residence or Citizenship.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
  • A commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
