Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience

Start date: as soon as possible.

Job duties

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Layout reference points and patterns
• Transport and pack raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout the plant manually or using powered equipment.
• Align parts in relation to each other, using jacks, turnbuckles, clips, wedges etc.
• Mark location of holes to be drilled and install temporary fasteners to hold part in place for welding or riveting.
• Install packing, gaskets, liners, and structural accessories and members, such as doors, hatches, brackets, and clips.
• Tack weld clips and brackets in place prior to permanent welding.
• Fabricate metal parts using various techniques
• Setup and operate metal-working machines
• Conduct quality checks for product compliance
