Job Description

Your Responsibilities will be following:

-          Conduct comprehensive evaluations by reviewing patients' medical histories, discussing symptoms, and performing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnostic techniques such as pulse reading and tongue examination.

-          Develop personalized treatment plans based on TCM principles, incorporating acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, and other therapeutic methods to address various health concerns.

-          Administer acupuncture treatments by inserting needles at precise meridian points to stimulate energy flow and promote healing, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards.

-          Provide guidance on dietary adjustments, and lifestyle modifications to support overall well-being and complement acupuncture treatments.

-          Educate patients on their conditions, treatment objectives, and self-care techniques while monitoring progress through follow-up consultations to adjust therapies as needed.

-          Work alongside massage therapists to offer integrated patient care and make referrals when necessary.

-          Maintain accurate patient records, document treatment plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements set by professional licensing bodies in Ontario.

-          Follow infection control measures, sterilization protocols, and ethical guidelines to ensure a safe and professional clinical environment.

Requirements:

Education

?   Completion of a four to five-year diploma program in traditional Chinese medicine or completion of a three to four-year diploma program in acupuncture.

Licence/Certification:

?   Licenced Acupuncturist with a regulatory body (i.e. College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario)

Work Experience

?   Minimum of 1-year work experience as a Registered/Licenced Acupuncturist or under the supervision of a registered acupuncturist.

Language

?   Effective English skills both written and verbal.

Work Location:

?   Toronto & Mississauga

?   In-person, be able to commute between office locations

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours/week), permanent

Salary: $34.50 hourly
