Job Description

Job Summary:

-       Private household in Maple, ON is looking for a full-time Child Caregiver-Private Home.

-       The employee is required to be flexible to cover shifts, some weekends. Overtime may be required. Hours will vary from day, night and evenings.

-       Salary: $20.00 per hour, 30 hours per week

-       Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent free

-       Work Location: Must work in employer's home: 94 WOODVALLEY CRES, MAPLE, ON L6A4J5

-       Employment Expected to Start on: As Soon As Possible

Job Duties:

-          Maintain a safe, clean and caring environment for the child.

-          Prepare meals for the child and feed the child.

-          Plan and supervise structured, educational activities, and playtime for the child.

-          Provide educational training based on the child’s age, including out-door and in-door activities, games, reading, etc.

-          Maintain professional and positive relationships with parents and the child.

-          Oversee and promote the child's emotional and social development.

-          May perform housekeeping duties as requested by the parents.

-          Keep up-to-date records of child’s development, routines, and interest.

-          When necessary, administer first-aid or CPR to the child.

Requirements:

-          Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

-          Previous Experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset.

-          Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English.

-          First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate would be an asset.
