Salary-                                                              $21.00 per hour

Terms of employment-                                      Permanent employment, Full time; 40-44 hours per week

Starts-                                                               As soon as possible

Education-                                                        College/CEGEP

Experience-                                                       1 year to less than 7 months

Workplace-                                                       On site (Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no                                                                                    option to work remotely.

Job Responsibilities

Collect samples and perform other laboratory tests;

Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery;

Produce diagnostic radiographs;

Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery;

Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian;

Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian;

Identify livestock;

Counsel clients on animal health care;

May perform a variety of office management and clerical duties;

Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry;

Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals;

Provide wound and bandage care.
