Job Title: OFFICE MANAGER

No. of Vacancies: 1

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time.

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.

Work Location: #121 5577 153A Street Surrey BC V3S 5K7 

Wage rate: $35/hour for 32 to 40 hours/week.

Education: Secondary (high) School Graduation Certificate.

Experience: 1 Year to less than 2 Years’ experience.

Language: English.

Job Duties: 

  • Implement new administrative procedures that are communicated by Kumon.
  • Review and evaluate new administrative procedures that are communicated and also ensure their implementation.
  • Delegate work to office support staff and also monitor their performance on the same. The work sheets need to be shared and improvement plans explained to the parents. Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met. Carry out administrative activities of establishment.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of staff.
  • Oversee payroll administration.
  • Since dealing with children/minors, ensure client confidentiality is always maintained. Co-ordinate and plan for office services such as equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services.
  • Ensure the environment is safe for the kids at all times.
  • Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls.
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence. Client records need to be prepared and maintained on a regular basis.
  • Perform data entry. Train staff. Plan and control budget and expenditure.
  • Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures.
  • Resolve conflict situations.
