About the Role:

Unitek Truck Repair Inc. is seeking a skilled Electric Arc Welder to join our team. This hands-on role involves working on custom metal fabrication and repairs for trucks and industrial equipment. The successful candidate will work on-site in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate manual/semi-automatic and fully automated welding equipment

• Examine welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications

• Perform flame cutting, brazing, and torch straightening

• Operate shaping and bending machines (e.g., brakes, shears)

• Cut metal using arc-air and oxygen arc cutting equipment

• Repair or fabricate parts using pre-set welding/brazing machines

• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment

Experience and Qualifications:

• Education: Secondary school graduation certificate

• Experience: 1 to less than 2 years in a similar role

• Welding techniques: ARC spot welding

• Materials: Steel, aluminum alloys, stainless steel, copper, and non-metallics

• Equipment: Arc and gas welding machines

Work Conditions:

• Environment: Outdoors, confined spaces, dusty, hot, noisy

• Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

• Location: Work must be completed at the physical site (no remote option)

• Own Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots required

• Valid driver’s license required
