TRUCK DRIVER

 Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

Tasks

-         Operate commercial trucks to transport goods and equipment to training sites and affiliated locations.

-         Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and roadworthiness.

-         Assist in setting up practical training modules for student drivers, including maneuvering exercises and on-road practice.

-         Transport training vehicles between facilities and testing centers as required.

-         Maintain accurate driving logs and delivery records as per company and regulatory standards.

-         Demonstrate safe driving techniques and procedures to student drivers during training sessions.

-         Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, transport regulations, and PHS Trucking & Training safety policies.

-         Communicate effectively with dispatchers, instructors, and administrative staff regarding routes and schedules.

-         Monitor and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the maintenance department.

-         Support instructors during practical exams or road tests by preparing vehicles and assisting with coordination.

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 

  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

Documentation knowledge

  • Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
  • Maintenance and repair reports
  • Trip reports

Communication systems experience

  • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
