Position Title: In-home Caregiver

Job Duties:

• Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to child care
• Supervise and care for children aged 9 and 6, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the children
• Assist children with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
• Instruct and guide children in proper hygiene, manners, and social development
• Organize and engage children in age-appropriate recreational and educational activities, such as games, arts and crafts, and outings
• Help children with homework and school-related tasks
• Maintain a healthy and safe home environment
• Monitor and tend to the emotional well-being of the children
• Discipline children in accordance with methods approved by the parents
• Prepare children for rest periods and manage daily routines
• Keep records of children’s daily activities, routines, and any health-related information

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Language of Work: English
Wage: $19.00 per hour

Skills and Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school
• 6 months of formal training in child care OR A minimum of 6 months of child care experience
