FALCON ROOFING LTD situated at 13378 112a Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3R 2G5 and is growing and looking for a dependable, honest and reliable Carpenter to join its team.

Position: Carpenter

Job: Permanent/ Full Time

Start Date: As soon as possible

Language Requirement: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience 

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Salary: C$ 37/ hour for 32 hours per week

Carpenter (72310) will have to perform all of these duties:

• Review blue prints, illustration, and drafts to identify specifications and compute necessities for the building projects.
• Position and affix the board to the specific position of the  wall, with screws as needed
• Install wooden tracks onto the structural framework of walls and ceiling frames as outlined in the plans.
• Partner with other construction authorities and skilled workers to make certain that projects are finalized efficiently and in accordance to the stipulated specifications.
• Calculate, cut, sculpt, assemble and join wooden materials, wooden substitutes, and lightweight steel and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Install and Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Setup structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, stairs, molding and hardware, as well as fixtures like cabinets, doors, and trim.
• Repair and renovate the existing structure, including replacing parts.

Other skills:

• Must be familiar with various hand and power tools
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Display good physical and mental strength.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

Work conditions and physical capabilities- Bending, crouching, kneeling - Hand-eye co-ordination - Handling heavy loads - Large workload - Physically demanding - Repetitive tasks - Tight deadlines - Walking Weight handling- Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Work Setting: Various locations, indoors as well as outdoors.  Need to travel from one location to another.
