Required Child-Caregiver (NOC 44100)

As both of us are working parent, we are seeking to employ a trustworthy caregiver for our children who poses good education, experience of handling young child in an educated environment, strong morality, and values so that our child can be left in safe hands when we are absent during the working days.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Assist with daily routines, including meal plans
• Prepare and serve meals ensuring nutritious and balanced diets
• Responsible for picking up the child from school
• Keeping a record of daily activities and health information regarding child
• Help with shower, dressing, and tidying up.
• Assist in doing homework
• Teaching Bengali language and cultural norms
• Assist in learning basic Arabic, read Islamic stories to the child
• Instruct child in personal hygiene and social development
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Organize activities such as games and outings for child
• Maintain emotional well-being of our child
• Light housekeeping related to the child (tidying play areas, children’s laundry washing and folding, dishes, etc.)
• Occasionally do grocery shopping, family errands whenever required
• Basic housekeeping tasks i.e. emptying the trash, loading and unloading the dishwasher, cleaning kitchen areas etc.
• Maintain open communication with parents about the child’s development and well-being

Key Requirements:

• Education: Minimum High School Graduate with diploma
• 7 months to less than 1 year of childcare experience
• CPR or First Aid certificate

Personal skills and suitability:

• The ideal candidate must be able to perform repetitive tasks with a strong attention to detail.
• Should demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to stay organized and reliable in a homely environment.

Good time management, patience, and honesty are essential.

Language:

• Primary: English
• Knowing Bengali language will be an asset

Terms of employment: Permanent Full-time employment

Salary: $20.00 per hour/35 hours per week

Location: Brimley Road, Scarborough, ON, M1J 1B9
Work setting: Employer’s home.
