Responsibilities

Tasks

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of company truck drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Plan driver schedules and assign routes based on load requirements and deadlines.
• Monitor driver logs, inspection reports, and hours of service compliance.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure drivers follow transportation regulations.
• Oversee loading and unloading operations to ensure proper cargo handling.
• Communicate with dispatchers, clients, and drivers to resolve delivery issues.
• Maintain records of mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance for fleet reporting.
• Train new drivers on company policies, routes, and safety procedures.
• Inspect vehicles and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance department.
• Ensure all documentation such as bills of lading and delivery receipts are completed accurately.
