Job Description

1 Full-time permanent Carpenter (NOC: 72310) position available at Ontime Construction & Electrical Inc. located at 110 Orenda Rd, Brampton, ON L6W 3W6, Canada:

Main Duties to be completed as per the NOC 00013:

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings and hardware
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
• Survey building locations and levels
• Instruct apprentices
• Supervise other workers
• Estimate costs and materials
• Operate CADD and other computer software systems
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Employment requirements

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Compensation:

$36 per hour for 37.5 hours weekly. Overtime starts after 44 hours
