Job Description

LA Logistics Moncton Inc is looking to hire a Transportation logistics supervisor for our company to lead and optimize daily sortation and dispatch operations by managing staff, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, resolving service issues, and supporting continuous improvement and compliance across logistics functions.

Description of the position:

1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel involved in the transportation of goods.

2. Plan routes and delivery schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize delays and fuel costs.

3. Monitor fleet performance and ensure vehicle maintenance schedules are followed.

4. Handle shipping documentation, customs paperwork, and regulatory compliance, or all the required documentation necessary.

5. Provide training to workers.

6. Communicate with clients to coordinate pick-ups, deliveries, and resolve transportation issues.

7. Maintain inventory records, track shipment statuses, and prepare regular performance reports.
   Train and mentor logistics staff and enforce company policies and safety standards.

8. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures for equipment safety and regulations by furthering participation in its improvement.

9. Monitor and manage transportation budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Wage Rate: $30 per hour

Skills required:  Supply Chain management experience, Excellent communication skills, Fluency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), GPS tracking, and Excel.

Education and work experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant work experience is required and is an asset.
