Retail store supervisor

  • Location : 171 Keil Drive S, Chatham, ON, N7M 3H3
  • Salary : $35.00 to $36.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 35 to 40 hours per week
  • Terms of employment : Permanent employment Full time
  • Work Setting : Retail Business
  • Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning, Night, On Call, Overtime, Shift, Weekend

Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Assign sales workers to duties
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
  • Authorize payments by cheque
  • Order merchandise
  • Authorize return of merchandise
  • Establish work schedules
  • Sell merchandise
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
  • Manage cash
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff

Languages

Education

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • or equivalent experience

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year
