Work Location: Bldg 5 - 20381 62nd Ave Langley, British Columbia V3A 5E6

Wage rate: $36.60/hour for 40 hours per week.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Language: English.

Job Duties:

• Designing, baking, and decorating a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts as per production requirements. 
• Developing new and innovative recipes, as well as modifying existing ones to meet customer needs and preferences. 
• Sourcing, selecting, and managing ingredients, ensuring quality and proper storage. 
• Monitoring stock levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as needed. 
• Training, mentoring, and supervising junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff. 
• Ensuring the pastry station and kitchen are clean, organized, and adhere to health and safety regulations. 
• Adhering to established recipes, procedures, and health and safety standards. 
• Keeping up with current food trends and developing new techniques and recipes. 
• Addressing any issues or challenges that arise in the pastry section.
