Floor covering Installer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ARE LISTED BELOW:

• Prepare surfaces for installation by removing old floor and hardware like screws and bolts.
• Analyze, measure and mark areas to be covered to determine amount of material needed.
• Measure and cut flooring materials as per the area to be covered.
• Measure and cut hardwood/laminate using chop saw, table saw and laminate cutter.
• Install hardwood floors, such as strip floors, block floors or plank floors, using glue, staples, nails, or

 other means.

• Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.
• Scrape and sand floor edges and areas inaccessible to floor sanders, using scrappers, disk type sanders,

and sandpaper.

• Assist in estimating material and labour costs.
• Advising customer on proper flooring care and maintenance.
• Install floor covering and ensure there are no cracks and clean up leftover adhesives.

Work Location:                 10 Lightbeam Terrace, Suite 9, Brampton, ON, L6Y 6H9

Salary:                                  $36.45/hr

Hours:                                   30-40 hours per week
