Job Description

Located in Coquitlam, BC, Choicelle Hardware Inc. is looking for Finish Carpenter to join the team on projects throughout Lower Mainland areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reading blueprints and specifications to determine projectrequirements and layouts in conformance to building codes

• Perform finish and trim carpentry work according to plansand specifications

• Measure, cut, and install hardware and millwork for doors,windows, ceiling panels, staircases, decking, baseboards, etc.

• Erect scaffolding or ladders as needed to work in heights

• Efficiently collaborate with other carpenters to complete projects

• Troubleshoot and repair issues with building components andequipment

• Follow established regulations and advocate for safety oneach worksite

Required Education & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience in residential andcommercial construction projects

• Completion of Secondary school is required

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Blueprint reading skills

• Experience working with construction software such as Procore and Auto-desk is beneficial

• Proficiency in using carpentry power tools like table saws, planers, sanders, power drills, and hand tools

• Strong problem-solving and mathematical skills for accuratemeasurements

• Ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines

• Physical stamina for lifting heavy tools and materials up to100lb

• Ability to work at heights and in tight spaces

• Ability to stand, climb, and bend for extended periods

• Excellent hand-eye coordination for accurate cutting andshaping of the materials

• Knowledge of BC building standards
