Responsibilities

As an ECE Assistant, you will:

Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
Maintain daycare equipment.
Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that support children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
Help with keeping records and observations of children.
Encourage creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
Engage children with stories, songs, and crafts.
Support children with eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
Monitor for potential learning or behavioral concerns and prepare reports for parents/guardians or supervisors.
Submit written observations to early childhood educators or supervisors.
Participate in staff meetings to discuss children’s progress and any issues.
