Position: Painter

(1 Permanent Position for Full Time) 

Job Responsibilities 

 1.Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, cleaning, and repairing cracks, holes, and seams before painting. 

 2.Apply primers, base coats, paints, stains, varnishes, or protective finishes to both interior and exterior areas. 

 3.Blend and select paint shades and finishes to meet specific project design requirements. 

 4. Use brushes, rollers, and spray machines to achieve smooth and uniform coatings. 

 5. Safeguard nearby surfaces and fixtures by masking, taping, and covering with protective sheets or drop cloths. 

 6. Review blueprints, specifications, and work instructions to determine painting tasks and techniques. 

 7. Set up and work safely on ladders, scaffolds, or lifts to reach higher or difficult areas. 

 8. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and to company standards.

 9. Examine finished surfaces to ensure quality workmanship and perform necessary corrections or touch-ups. 

 10. Clean, maintain, and store tools and equipment properly, while managing paint supplies and disposing of materials safely. 

11. Select appropriate materials, tools, and techniques to achieve desired textures and finishes based on project requirements.

12. Communicate with clients to understand painting requirements, colour preferences, and timelines, ensuring satisfaction with final results.

Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years experience in similar role is required.
• Client focus, Efficient interpersonal skills, Team player, Should be organized

Salary & Hours: $ 36.10 hourly for 30 hours per week (Overtime paid CAD 54.15 per hour after 44 hours of work per week; 4% Holiday pay will be accrued)
