Job Description

1092858 BC Ltd. DBA Barriere A&W is hiring a Restaurant Manager

Job Location: 351 Yellowhead Highway Barriere,, BC V0E 1E0

Salary: $36.60/Hourly

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, 30 to 40 hours per week

Start Date: As soon as possible

Language: English

Minimum Education: High School

Experience: 1 to 2 years of related work experience

Job Duties;

  • Balance key goals- high quality, speed of service and cost control through effective management of the operating system.
  • Responsible for weekly P &L statement of cost of goods, labor costs and direct expenses.
  • Maintains A & W standards daily and conducts performance reports regularly ; recognizes area of improvement and acts where improvement is needed.
  • Schedules staff, including self to operational positions and shift roles and responsibilities.
  • Make sure all equipment is in good condition, the building is in good condition and plans for all maintenance and repairs.
  • Working knowledge of climate goals, ensuring they are practiced daily.
  • Recruits and hires staff.
  • Train , develop, confronts poor performance and terminates staff.
  • Lead meetings.
  • Ensure staff safety and a healthy, motivating work environment applying to the daily climate.
  • Documents critical incidents and reports them to key individuals.
  • Ensures monthly health and safety meeting with a restaurant walk through are being completed and takes corrective action to address any issues.
  • Completes daily, weekly and period accounting administration.
  • Manages inventory control, ordering , cost control and weekly inventory counts.
  • Applies cash and food cost management principles.
  • Ensure restaurant profitability by managing costs to set thresholds and goals for profitability.
  • Ensure that cleanliness standards and safe food handling practices are met.
  • Ensure a high level of service to guests through efficient preparation, stocking and staff positioning including self.
  • Responsible for all store marketing.
  • Manage accidents or complaints, implement service recovery program.
  • Ensure team appearance is up to standard.
