Job Description

Ms. Shelly Rachel Cohen is seeking two dedicated Home Child Care Providers (NOC 44100) to provide attentive, caring, and responsible support for her children on a short-term basis. The ideal candidates will focus on the children’s well-being, physical and social development, and assist parents with childcare and light household duties.

Compensation: $20.00 CAD per hour
Location: Private household (details provided upon request)

Schedule:

• Position 1: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (30 hours/week)
• Position 2: Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, plus weekends (30 hours/week)

Main Duties (include but are not limited to):

• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
• Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens
• Care for pets
• Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Organize activities such as games and outings for children; prepare infants and children for rest periods
• Supervise and care for children
• Take children to and from school and to appointments
• Tend to the emotional well-being of children

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 months of relevant experience
• High school diploma
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
